Fast, efficient and kind during a traumatic time in our life. We had to cancel our dream cruise to Alaska (would have been on 9/13/24) as my husband had an emergency surgery with an unexpected cancer diagnosis. 15 hours agoSix hours before my scheduled flight I got a call from a member of the family that I planned to visit: their son has Covid. I canceled the flight of course and filed a claim with Allianz for the cost of the non-refundable tickets. Sent all required documentation; the only response I had from the travel insurance company was: your claim was approved, here's your money. You can't do much better than that.

16 hours agoVery glad I signed up for the extra insurance for my recent flight. It was canceled and we had to rent a vehicle to get home. Allianz covered the expenses and their customer service line was so nice and helpful. It makes a big difference talking with people who are knowledgeable and want to assist you! I can’t remember the name of the man I spoke to but I am very thankful that he took the time and made a stressful situation less difficult for me!

10 hours agoI have filed many claims due to flight issues and delays, lost and broken luggage issues. I have cancelled my trips due to illness or emergencies. Allianz has always paid out and I trust them with possessing my claims quickly and efficiently!

This is the 3rd time we have really needed it for refunds, a concert. As you know they are very expensive these days! The process is very easy and you can reach a live person if needed.
My husband had to have a surprise knee surgery two weeks before the show so I went in a put a claim with the evidence they asked for and was approved in 3 days with full refund the next day into my account.
Things happen in life and it’s pretty inexpensive assurance that you won’t lose out when it does.

Getting sick while on vacation is not part of the plan & not fun !
Princess has a great medical team that helped a lot.
But getting home and filling the necessary paperwork according to Allianz instructions was so user friendly - which was something of a surprise since we had never had to do that before. Then the timely follow through by Allianz was another plus.

3 hours agoFrankly, this company is a damn ripoff… you have to jump thru friggin hoops to get a legitimate refund. First time was with Covid and travel was stopped. You refused to refund tickets, ended up going thru airline. Next was a concert I couldn’t make due to a stomach virus. Not everyone goes to doctor for stomach virus as there is nothing that can be done. Next is due to concert cancellation. Tickets refunded so why wouldn’t insurance be refunded? I will never recommend insurance to anyone.

Our experience with Allianz P. U. was great. We had to cancel our flight due to some unexpected changes with our travel plans. Our air fare was fully refunded by APU, although it took two weeks to receive the money in our bank account. It's definitely worth to get this travel insurance!

I never thought I would need to insure my travel or expected to have delays while away from home, yet it happens! I submitted a claim, hoping to be reimbursed for some costs and was pleasantly surprised at the customer service, the brief time it took to review my claim and the total reimbursed. Allianz was well-worth the cost of travel insurance!

7 hours agoKeep getting emails to submit more information. But when I log into claim information, message says complete. There were two choices given for my online claim. Trip Interruption and Travel Delay. I filled out the forms for Trip Interruption and this file says complete. The Travel Delay file keeps asking for information.

I received a personal phone call letting me know my policy would be expiring. The representative was very knowledgeable and reviewed changes I wanted to make. The renewal was quick and easy. I am very happy to have my annual plan that insures I am covered for an entire year of travel without having to do anything regarding letting them know where I am going.

18 hours agoUnfortunately we were not able to make the trip due to family illness. Fortunately we purchased insurance through Allianz at time of flight purchase. They refunded the money paid for the flight quickly and easily.

10 hours agoThe instructions on how to make a claim were very clear. Once the claim was submitted, we received updates informing us that it was in process. We claim was approved and was complete in a timely fashion. Highly recommend Allianz.

Both website and the APP are easy to use. The instruction videos are very helping in knowing exactly what to do when filing a claim. Our medical claim was handled immediately. We had a reimbursement for treatment for an unexpected injury while overseas within a week.

16 hours agoWe unfortunately, had to make a change of plans due to my daughter being diagnosed with bone cancer. The team assisted us very quickly and reviewing our case and getting our reimbursement as fast as possible they made it a very quick and painless process, taking a lot of stress off of us during a very stressful time.

4 hours agoYou declined to pay when my trip was cancelled. My wife and I were travelling for a court date and it was cancelled as we were leaving the neighborhood for a six hour drive. When it was cancelled we had no need to travel. Outside our control and not a vacation destination by any measure. We did go to the hearing just a couple days ago at the rescheduled date and waited until we got there to find a room so I wouldn't lose my money. I won't use you again.

2 hours agoI submitted a travel claim over a month ago with all of the paperwork required and Allianz still hasn’t reimbursed me for any of the travel expenses that were covered. I tried to get in touch with customer service to find out what’s taking so long, and no one ever replied to my email. I still haven’t heard about a decision on my claim, but Allianz did ask me to submit the same paperwork again, though it was already submitted.

I hesitate to buy travel insurance because I feel that it raises the cost of my trip. But between weather concerns and the fact that I am getting older, you never know what will happen. My hotel was less expensive with the pay in advance option, so that was what I did. But my flight was delayed several times and it just made sense to try for a flight the next day, since there was no guarantee that the flight would leave at all. My trip insurance reimbursed me for the one-night at the hotel that was non-refundable. I will always get trip insurance from now on.
